Our home

Our end of terrace house was built around 1910 and has lots of character. We have three bedrooms, two double and a single bedroom. One of the doubles is in the converted loft, and has an ensuite. We also have a family bathroom. a living room, and kitchen diner. We have a driveway you can use. Our garden is 40 ft long, west facing, with lawn, a seating area which is a suntrap in the morning at the end of the garden,and seating on the decking by the house where we get the sun in the afternoon and evening.

Who we are

  1. We are a couple with grown up children; a son of 22 and a daughter of 20 who will come with us. We would therefore like to stay somewhere with 3 bedrooms.

  2. Ric is an artist and Vanessa has a business consultancy.

  3. We both love music, and the arts, and our home reflects that.

We live in a town called Portslade by sea, 15 mins drive from central Brighton. Its a quiet and friendly neighbourhood. We are 7 mins walk from Portslade station, 2 minutes walk from a bus stop and there is main road 5 mins walk away with food shops, cafes, and a few restaurants. There is a good children's park 2 mins walk away, and the beach is 10 minutes walk away, with a good cafe, play area, and lagoon with watersports. The train to london talks under 1 hour.

the railway inn pub 5 mins walk serves excellent food. Many restaurants in Hove and Brighton.
Nightlife
There are many clubs, pubs, music venues and restaurants 20 minutes bus ride into hove or brighton.

The countryside is 10 minutes north, called the South Downs, where there are many walks, pretty villages and pubs.
Places you love to exercise
i love to go running along the seafront! There are 2 gyms and dance studio in Portslade. In Brighton there are more, plus 2 large swimming pools, and the seafront to cycle or roller skate along.
Top day trips
London; to see a show, Buckingham Palace, covent garden, Oxford St, Piccadilly etc etc. There are some pretty towns 1-2 hours away; Arundel, Lewes, Chichester, Eastbourne.
