A FANTASTIC NEW QUIET SUNNY SOUTH FACING TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT LOCATED ON BARTLETT PARK IN LONDON'S EAST END. THE APARTMENT HAS A BALCONY OVERLOOKING A PARK WITH WONDERFUL VIEWS OF CANARY WHARF AND BACKING ONTO THE LIMEHOUSE CUT CANAL (THIS IS A SECOND HOME & ONLY NON SMOKERS & ADULTS PLEASE)
PLEASE NOTE THE APARTMENT IS AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES OF THE YEAR.
Our modern furnished 70 sq. m/754 sq. ft, second floor apartment with 2 lifts in Limehouse, East London. We are very close to Canary Wharf (with great restaurants, some on the River Thames & fantastic shopping), 15 minutes away by foot or by the DLR/BUS. Also about 10 mins by DLR to Stratford City, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park & Westfield's vast shopping/entertainment/restaurant complex. The apartment has a living/dining room with a fully fitted kitchen with all modern intergrated appliances, washer/dryer, dishwasher, full oven with separate hob & fridge freezer. We have one main bedroom & a second occasional bedroom/study/sitting room with a sofa bed, 2 bathrooms, one ensuite. The apartment is only really set up for two people. It also has a good sized balcony with furniture, overlooking Bartlett Park, which has a dedicated exercise area. We also have wonderful views of Canary Wharf. The block backs onto the Limehouse Cut Canal, the oldest canal in London (17 Sept 1770). We are about six minutes walk to Langdon Park DLR station with connections to the rest of London. We are a short walk along the Limehouse Cut Canal to the Limehouse Basin & the River Thames with wonderful riverside walks and lovely waterside pubs and very close to the Regent's Canal, which leads off the Limehouse Basin. You can walk along the Regent’s Canal to the beautiful Victoria Park. Also good public transport to all parts of London to visit all the wonderful buildings, monuments, museums (free entrance), art galleries & theatres that makes London one of the greatest cities in the world. The apartment also has an iPod player, two TVs and WiFi. It is well decorated with modern furniture. On the ground floor there is a lovely Cafe. The area around the Boathouse is generally quiet and Cotall Street is a cul de sac (dead end) so no through traffic.

WE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR AN EXCHANGE IN SYDNEY and the GOLD COAST from MARCH - APRIL 2021 for about 2 weeks in Sydney also 2 weeks on the Gold Coast. We know Sydney well as a number of years ago we lived in KURRABA POINT and have done many trips back since then.
EXCHANGE IN LONDON COULD BE AT ANY TIME, NON SIMULTANEOUS OR SIMULTANEOUS

We are also looking for an exchange in NYC for two weeks in SPRING/SUMMER/EARLY FALL IN 2020 We would like to be in Greenwich Village, East or West Village, SoHo or mid/ lower Manhattan areas if possible, but other areas would be considered including Brooklyn.
EXCHANGE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SIMULTANEOUS AS LONDON IS A SECOND HOME.

Who we are

  1. Gary is a retired engineer, Pauline has recently retired as a communications consultant in the NHS. We are passionate travellers and have travelled extensively in Europe, the United States, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. We lived in Sydney Australia many years ago & still have family & friends there. We love good food (and wine) and in between, attempt to keep fit! We like reading, music, walking, and entertaining with friends and family, as well as helping look after our two lovely granddaughters!

Our apartment in East London is not far from London City Airport (by Docklands Light Railway) and is an easy journey to Heathrow (by underground), Gatwick and Luton airports are within easy distance. We are very close to the River Thames and all parts of London. Canary Wharf is a 15 minutes walk or by bus. Stratford Olympic park & Westfield vast shopping centre is 10 minutes by DLR railway. There are a number of small supermarkets close to us, and many take out places (many that will do home delivery). Because of the excellent public transport we are close to all parts of London. Good local areas are Limehouse, Wapping, Shadwell, Bow, Whitechapel, Shoreditch, Islington & Greenwich just south of the river. There are some lovely walks along the Thames from us to the Tower of London and beyond. Also a number of interesting canal walks.
