Our home

Our family home is a large Victorian house. Owing to the high ceilings and large bay-windows, the house is spacious, light and airy. There are many original Victorian features, such as decorative coving, picture rails, open fire places and a roll-top freestanding bath, to name but a few. As it is neutrally decorated it is easy to feel at home straight away! The rooms are well proportioned and two of the bedrooms have 'Super King-Size' beds - Great for relaxing in. This is a great location to explore the wonderful beaches of Devon and Cornwall.

Who we are

  1. We are both primary (elementary) school teachers, in our forties. Therefore, we can be fairly flexible with the duration and dates of an exchange. We have both travelled extensively and love to immerse ourselves in a community and really get to know an area. We have a baby son, called Billy and four year old, called Alfie. We would happily welcome a family into our home. There is a great swimming pool and play area in the park behind our house!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in very friendly and safe residential area, called Peverell. The house is a short walk away from the city's largest park. It is a short stroll to the local shops, and only a twenty minute walk into the city centre (busses every 10 minutes if you prefer!). The historic waterfront is only a thirty minute walk and offers a wide range of cafes, wine bars and restaurants. The beaches are all within a half an hour drive and Dartmoor offers wonderful walking and cycling opportunities, within a twenty minute drive.
