Our home

Favourably located on the elevated fringe of the village opposite fields and open Chilterns countryside with far reaching rear views directly across to scenic Downlands on the Berkshire side of the river. An individual detached chalet house dating from the 1930’s, sympathetically extended and recently dramatically improved including complete landscaping, a formal attractive family home of generous proportions with versatile 5 bedroom accommodation in a delightful semi rural setting with extensive lawned gardens and grounds of just over 1/3 of an acre.

Who we are

We are Pauline and Simon, a married couple with three teenage children. We are both professionals (Directors of our own Business) and enjoy travelling when able to get away. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see yours. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in the UK.

Situated between Reading and Oxford on the borders of Oxfordshire and Berkshire lies the picturesque village of Goring On Thames,nestling on the bank of the river opposite the village of Streatley. Goring is an historic point of the Thames by the ancient Ridgeway Path where the Chiltern hills and the Berkshire downlands meet The surrounding countryside is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Goring offers a good range of amenities,including shops, bank, lbrary, health centre and several pubs and restaurants! There is good communications via road, rail and all UK airports. London is 40 minutes away Oxford 20.
