Our home

Our home is the perfect getaway for a couple or small family who want to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Southern Pacific region of Costa Rica. The house was designed with the natural environment in mind utilizing stone, tropical woods, and locally produced ceramics. The lower floor has lovely open-air kitchen, dining, and living spaces along with a fully enclosed bed and bath. The upper floor hosts a large fully enclosed bedroom with sitting area and 360 degree views. You can relax in the dipping pool and enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Pacific. Situated on 8 acres with fruit trees and host of tropical flowers. Monkees, Parrots, Toucans, Sloths, and Scarlet Macaws are frequent visitors to the farm.

Who we are

We are educators who discovered Costa Rica while travelling. We knew it was the place for us, bought our land and built the house and have been spending time there for the last seven years.

Ojochal is a village of approximately 500 year round residents including Costa Ricans, Canadians, Americans and Europeans. Although small, it hosts a variety of restaurants, services, beaches and attractions within easy driving distances. The beaches of the Southern Pacific are undoubtedly the most beautiful in all of Costa Rica. You can choose guided tours of the tropical forests, mangroves, national parks, etc. or just relax at home with the birds and the sunset.
