Our home

We live in a newly converted listed (i.e. historically protected) house - the former rectory of the parish which has all the character of a beautiful, Victorian, period house and all the finishes of a newly restored property (new carpets, kitchen, bathrooms, decoration etc.)
The house has a large hall, downstairs toilet/utility, study, large sit-in family kitchen, and huge lounge with woodburning stove and amazing original stone mullioned windows.
Upstairs there are three double bedrooms (we currently use one for ourselves, one for our two children (aged 5 and 2 so expect some kids toys etc.) and one as a guest room with sofa bed. Additionally there are two bathrooms upstairs - a family room with bath (and shower over), toilet and sink, and another smaller room with shower, toilet and sink.
Outside we have a lovely garden overlooking the beautiful churchyard, a patio with BBQ, a few childrens toys (a swing for a toddler etc.) and also an outside wooden clad study/den/studio/workspace.
Additionally there is parking space for 2/3 cars.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a family consisting of Matt - a priest in the Church of England and director of a spirituality project called StillPoint - Pippa - a counselor and psychotherapist - Lily-Anna (5) just starting school - and Samuel (aged 2) making his first steps into pre-school and nursery.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live on the East side of the historic city of Oxford - about 20/25 mins walk from the city centre - in a fairly urban area on Oxford's Cowley Road - a vibrant, colourful and multi-cultural area. Close by are some fantastic restaurants, cafes and bars (although as our house is set back from the street we are not disturbed by street noise).
Within walking distance is the beautiful city centre with its colleges and historic buildings.
