Our home

We have a beautiful and spacious home overlooking our gardens and the fields beyond. The kitchen is large with plenty of integrated appliances including a steam oven, wine store and coffee machine. We have internet access in the kitchen. There is a breakfast area seating 6. Adjacent is a tv/family room and a conservatory with a dining table for 12. There is a large playroom with another tv. The formal dining room seats 12 and has a woodburning stove. There is also a formal drawing room with woodburning stove. Upstairs is the master bedroom with cathedral style windows overlooking the fields, with an ensuite bathroom. There are two twin rooms and a single sharing a bathroom. There is a further guest ensuite and another guest room with adjacent bathroom.
The gardens are private and very child-friendly. There is a wendy house and tree-swings. There are plenty of seating areas around the garden to watch the sun come up, stay in the sky and go down! We have a huge barbecue and a gated swimming pool. In the adjacent paddock the children can play football/cricket/baseball!

Who we are

  1. We are the Jamiesons. My husband works in the telecoms industry specialising in the media sector. I am a full time mother but in my previous life organised one-off niche events for corporates. We have 3 children (girl/boy/girl) aged 4, 3 and 1. As my husband is a New Zealander we hope that our children will grow up truly international.
Our eldest daughter has travelled extensively and our son has been to the US several times. Our youngest has spent a lot of time on the back of a bike and has been camping - she hopes that we'll take her overseas very soon!
Prior to children we raced on my husband's racing yacht. He also loves to ski (I am an enthusiastic novice!) and we'd love to introduce the children to skiing while they're young. We now spend as much time as possible outside with the children - their current favourite activity is chasing pleasants around the garden and across the paddock!
We have only recently moved here from central London. We love our home and would treat your home as if it were our own.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Abbotts Ann is a small, picturesque and quintessentially English village. Pill Hill Brook runs through it where there are abundant trout and demanding ducks for feeding! There has also recently been evidence of otters. The church is famous for its 'Virgin Crowns' and there is a public house and excellent village shop and post office. All are within walking distance of our home.
There are plenty of historic buildings and gardens to visit as well as galleries, craft shops and museums. There is excellent fishing on the world famous Test, walking and cycling trails to explore the area and horse riding.
Excellent road and rail links provide easy access to towns and cities. The market town of Andover is 5 minutes away with the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury are within 20 minutes drive. Stonehenge, one of the wonders of the world, is also 20 minutes away. London is an hours drive or the South Coast with its excellent sailing is also an hour.
