Who we are

  1. Jackie and I have 3 children aged 10,7 and 3. We are both Solicitors and own a law firm together. We like walking so we get away each weekend with the children to enjoy the rugged countryside on our doorstep.
I like rugby so the Television comes with a full Sky Sports package

Your neighbourhood

The house is situated within easy reach of local supermarkets, independent shops in Gosforth and it is easy to drive or take the bus from the development or train (Metro) into Newcastle City centre.
We are on the southern edge of Northumberland, a beautiful county with dramatic coastline and beaches and beautiful countryside and country towns and villages all the way to the Scottish Borders. This is Reiver country.
Locally there are six golf courses, a horse race course, Newcastle United (English Premier League), Newcastle Falcons (English Premiership rugby), beautiful beaches, country walks and historic buildings and grounds (National Trust) all within easy reach.
Edinburgh is about 1hr45mins away by road.
Newcastle is on the East Coast mainline so travel to London by train takes only about 3 hours.
It is only about 1hr30mins to the English Lake District in Cumbria.
There are excellent air links to other cities in UK, Ireland, Europe and Middle East from Newcastle International Airport which is only 15 mins away from the house-you can fly to Dubai with Emirates from Newcastle.
Newcastle is renowned for its nightlife. Gosforth High Street has good pubs and restaurants.
Northumberland, County Durham, North Yorkshire and Cumbria are all within easy reach by car and offer museums, historic buildings, fine dining, magnificent country side, walks and all manner of outdoor sport and pursuits and country pubs. Corbridge, in the Tyne Valley, is a particularly scenic place. Don't forget the Roman wall (Hadrian's Wall) and Holy Island (Lindisfarne) which reminds us how old the history is of Northumberland
Our Volvo XC90 (7 seater) copes well in the snow and is available as part of the swap.
