Our home

This is a stunning, luxury, 1st floor apartment which has the "wow" factor. It is situated in a peaceful village which has a good range of amenities. Enjoy uninterrupted views over the beautiful Dundrum bay and the Mountains of Mourne - recognised as an "area of outstanding natural beauty". You would find it difficult to find a more spectacular view anywhere in Northern Ireland. The view constantly changes as the tide goes in and out but should you tire of it, you can enjoy beautiful walks to Dundrum castle, the Mourne Mountains, Castlewellan castle and lake or to the nature reserve of Murlough Bay and its wonderful wildlife and beaches. You are also a short drive to Strangford Lough. The apartment is south-facing and is bright and sunny all day long. It has a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area and balcony so you can enjoy the views while you cook, eat or relax! One of the bedrooms is ensuite with a king size bed and views of the bay (fabulous for enjoying the sunrise), the second has a double bed and the third two single beds. There is a lift to the apartment should you need it. If you enjoy wildlife this is a fantastic location for bird-watching and seal-spotting. We guarantee that you would enjoy your stay here at any time of the year.

Who we are

  1. My husband (Ken) and I (Janet) are both self-employed and hence we love to travel and we are very flexible. My husband is an artist while I work part-time as a management consultant for voluntary organisations. This is our second home so we are open to offers for any time of year. We live in Belfast. We have two wonderful children, our daughter Rose who is three years old and our son Theo 6 months.

We are planning to travel to Australia in Feb/March 2009. Particularly interested in Sydney and New South Wales. Non-simultaneous exhange is not a problem as this is our second home.

Hoping to exchange to Paris in May 2009.

Open to the possibility of long term exchanges to Asia, USA or Australia.

We have now completed 9 very successful and enjoyable exchanges. We reply to all offers so if you don't hear from us please do try again! We look forward to sharing our little bit of paradise with you!
