**NOTE: We HAVE NOW MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR OUR MAIN HOLIDAYS THIS YEAR, (EASTER AND SUMMER). WE ARE NOW ONLY LOOKING FOR A SHORT TRIP TO IRELAND (4-5 days) IN AUGUST AND SHORT BREAKS IN THE UK).
We live in a spacious Victorian house in the outer London suburbs. Downstairs there is a large living room with woodburning stove, digital piano, hi-fi and TV(Blu-ray, dvd, video). The kitchen is a reasonable size - we use it for cooking and dining.
On the first floor there are two children's bedrooms, a bathroom and a large guest room with a double sofa bed (and also a second digital piano).
On the second floor there is a large double bedroom, shower room and a small study containing a computer with broadband access.
At the back of the house there is a garden with a large patio area.
We are a couple Delma and William with two children aged eleven and eight years old. The children are both creative and love drawing and craft activities. Our daughter plays the clarinet and our son the guitar. They both enjoy exploring beaches and countryside and horse riding. They are less keen on city culture, but we are working on that.
I used to work in IT and software development but have recently changed track and am currently working as a teaching assistant with children with learning and physical disabilities and am also involved with an aphasia charity supporting adults with language difficulties.
My partner William works as a computer programmer.
We would like to travel to Switzerland or Italy for a week or two this summer. We have family in Dublin and would also be interested in a shorter house exchange there some time in the coming year.
We live in the outer suburbs of London but are extremely well connected by train. The journey to central London takes 20 minutes and you are then within ten minutes walk of Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, Tate Modern, Big Ben, the London Eye and West End theatres.
Richmond Park, Wimbledon Common and Hampton Court Palace are all within cycling distance of our house. Alternatively they are easily reached by train, bus or car.
Gatwick is the easiest airport to get to because of the train connections although Heathrow is relatively close and there is a bus directly from there to New Malden.
