Our home

Spacious traditional Devon cottage, set on the edge of a small village in a lush green valley. We have a 1.5 acres of outside space, including a large lawn, wildlife pond, a stream and woodland to explore (lots of lovely quiet spot to sit and chill).

Our house is cosy, quirky and comfortable with a large family room, log burner and tv and plenty of comfy seating. We also have a large dining room, also with log burner (room currently being renovated). The house is built around two 300 year old stone cottages, that have been extended multiple times over the years. There is a family bathroom with a tub, second shower room and two further WCs. One master bedroom, and two good sized single rooms (one has a an extra fold out futon bed/chair), we also have a basic loft room with a bed if needed.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We're a married couple with two children, Jimi 13 and Maisy 10. We have two cats Mog and Bob.

  2. Rob is a busy self employed carpenter and Annie is generally great at everything! Annie worked in the TV production industry for many years and now juggles part time work with looking after the kids (with a bit of help from Rob!).

  3. We love creating and making stuff. Rob makes furniture for a living and Annie is is super into crochet and textiles and is working on setting up a business in this area. As a family we love the outdoor lifestyle, but also love a good winters evening snuggled inside with the wood stove blazing!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our village is quiet and sleepy, but ideally located for days out at the beach or walks on Exmoor. North Devon offers some great surfing beaches and loads of secret coves to explore. Barnstaple is the biggest town and is within a 10 minute drive if you feel the need for shops, markets and restaurants (there's also a bus service). More locally our village pub is just a 3 field walk away, and has great food and beer, a massive garden and is super freindly.
