Our home

Sun House is a clean, comfortable holiday home with four bedrooms that sleeps eight people (two double, two twin).

There is a sunny kitchen and dining area with plenty of room for eight people to enjoy. The living room has a TV, video and DVD player, and there is one large bathroom with shower, and a separate shower room upstairs.

There are views of the hills and towards the sea. There are many walks just outside the door, in every direction, to the sea, into the country or the town. The house has central heating and is quietly situated on the edge of a small, friendly town very close to the English Lake District.

We can only go away in September this year but can welcome exchangers to this holiday house on many dates. Mail us!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Very close to the English Lake District. Situated on the edge of a friendly little town within a few minutes walk of an RSPB nature reserve and a sandy beach. Quiet and relaxing away from the crowds it is close enough to drive into the surrounding famous lakes and hills. Beatrix Potter's house and Donald Campbell's lake are both within easy reach.

Ideal for touring by car, although there is also a railway station in the town, which offers good trips by train into the nearby hills and towns.

You can take the train or drive into the historic, city of Lancaster or up to the borders of Scotland. You can also drive to ancient Durham, with it's very old cathedral and university, where some of the Harry Potter books were filmed.
