“We’ve just returned from a wonderful week spent in Debbe and Jim’s amazing house. The house is perched half-way up a cliff on the edge of the town of Looe. The access is quite steep and narrow, but once you’re there, you are rewarded with the most astonishing views over the town itself, its harbour and the sea. The large windows mean that this view can be seen from virtually every room. The house is excellently equipped, and very comfortable, with lots of large sofas and a splendid table that seats eight people, not to mention the outside seating area – all with that amazing view! An added bonus for us (since we were accompanied by small children) was that the delightful sandy beach was directly accessible down a staircase starting just below the house, and many a happy hour has been spent digging sandcastles, exploring the rock pools or just watching the tide come in and out. The town centre of Looe is within a short walk and has everything that you could want including “the world’s best Cornish pasty” shop. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a short drive, as is Antony, an 18c National Trust property, Restormel Castle and the Prince of Wales’s garden centre , which does an excellent cream tea. All in all, the perfect place for a real Cornish holiday. Our own house was immaculate on our return, so many, many thanks to Debbe and Jim for a great exchange.”

“Thank you to Debbe & Jim for an amazing introduction to Cornwall!! We had wanted to visit the area for years and were not disappointed. The house is a beach lovers dream sitting high overlooking Looe beach with spectacular views out to sea & Looe Island. Every room has a great view and all clean, tidy and well organised with more than you need for the perfect stay. Our house was just perfect to come home to and obviously well cared for by you both...and the dogs!! We wouldn't have even noticed they'd been there at all. Plus, a big thank you for going that extra mile and replacing our freezer drawer, especially since it wasn't even you who broke it!! Many many kind regards for a lovely experience for our 2nd swap. “Our holiday in this wonderfully located, spacious and comfortable house overlooking the sea in Looe was one of true relaxation. We had trips to the Eden Project, pony trekking and nearby coves and beaches during October. The large bay windows protected us from the buffeting winds and many an hour was enjoyed looking out over the bay. Our house was extremely well looked after and our swap partners were very helpful. Everything went very smoothly. A wonderful swap. Thank you!”

Where is it?
Your neighbourhood
Leave the car in the parking space and a short stroll down the lane brings you to the beach and the older quarter of town, which has narrow streets full of interesting curiosity shops, pubs and restaurants. If you can drag the children away from the beach there are plenty of other things to do, be it trying your hand at sea fishing, walking along the stunning South West Coastal Path to the fishing village of Polperro, taking the car to the famous Eden Project or just exploring this beautiful Celtic county. When you return at the end of the day you can sit out on the terrace and enjoy an al fresco meal while you watch the sun go down. Sounds perfect doesn't it?
Plymouth is just 20 miles away, with it’s wealth of Maritime history, where you can visit the Mayflower Steps where the Pilgrim Fathers departed from England for the New World.
