Our home

Our house is well loved and lived in, with a large book-lined sitting room, eat-in kitchen and a SW facing garden.

There are 4 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed, 1 with bunk beds, and 2 with single beds. There is also a double futon in the study/attic, closed off by curtains

We have a shower room with a lavatory on the 1st floor and a bathroom, also with a lavatory, on the 2nd floor.

If you have children to entertain we have a trampoline, tree house, piano, plenty of board games, books and dvds.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are in our 40s (graphic design/tv) with 3 children aged 15, 12 and 9. Rafferty the cat is large and gentle and comes with the house. We are new to home exchanges but would love to find a family who would be happy in our home.

We might occasionally want to travel with family/friends/grandparents so are also interested in places that sleep slightly more than 5.

Exchanges only possible during school holidays.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Well located for exploring London our house is situated in a residential street directly off the green open space of Clapham Common. With excellent transport links we are in a perfect position for sightseeing, visiting museums and art galleries, eating out, shopping, strolling in one of London's many parks or for journeying further afield to the countryside.

Clapham South Underground Station on the Northern Line (Zone 2) is 5 minutes away with a journey time of 20 minutes into Trafalgar Square. It provides easy connections to all major Railway Stations including Kings Cross/St. Pancras, Paddington, Liverpool Street, London Bridge and the Heathrow Express. Nearby is Clapham Junction Station with its train link to Gatwick Airport. We also have a bus stop at the end of the road.

Clapham Common provides space to stroll, cafes, tennis courts and playgrounds. There is a small village high street round the corner with late opening corner shops, a deli, cafes and restaurants. The cinema and indoor swimming pool are 3 bus stops up the road and in the opposite direction is a vast outdoor pool for a hot summer's day. We also have 3 supermarkets all within walking distance.
