Our home

Our home is perfectly set up for a family or couple to visit. It is a bright spacious three bedroom house with a light open plan kitchen/diner area, sitting room, and large back garden with separate veg patch. We live on a quiet road just five minutes walk from our local shops, bars, restaurants and train station which takes you either directly into London Bridge (ten minute ride) or out towards the Sussex countryside.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are Sarah (English) and Steve (Australian), a married couple with two boys age 4 and 2. We enjoy travelling, experiencing new places and we like to spend as much time as possible outside. The purpose of this swap is to enable a more permanent move to Melbourne from London, but we would like to test the water first so to speak and would ideally like to do it with minimum fuss, so a home exchange for approximately 6 months would be ideal.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Honor Oak Park is a bustling neighbourhood with lots of families and young professionals living here. It is relaxed, friendly and earthy with a real sense of community. The main street offers a vibrant mix of coffee shops, restaurants and various shops. It is a short bus ride from Dulwich Park, Peckham Rye and East Dulwich's artisan shops and gastropubs, and only two train stops from London Bridge station. The East London tube line makes East London a direct and accessible option with Hoxton Square and the famous Spitalfields Market being less than 30 minutes away.
Crofton Park station (7 minute walk) also has direct trains into and through central London (Thames Link) and offers a speedy service out into Kent, the county often called The Garden of England.
