Our home

Our spacious Edwardian terraced house (1902) is modern and very comfortable. If you like contemporary art and furniture you should feel very at home. One master bedroom with super king size bed, two children's bedrooms, 2 bath/shower rooms, a large family kitchen, conservatory dining room and huge lounge with an extra double sofabed. There is a pretty garden with barbeque, terrace and trampoline. As we have two children there are plenty of indoor and outdoor toys, books, bikes etc and we also have a friendly cat (and we would be happy to look after your pets). We have wireless broadband, LCD TVs, satellite, DVD etc. You can park on the street outside the house (we will provide permits).

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are Paddy and Jude, an English married couple in our forties with two children, eight and ten. We are both professionals. We arranged our first home exchange in 2009. We also have a lovely home in the Queen's Park area of London - if you want to spend some of your stay there (See our other listing). For Summer 2010 we would love to go to a beach house in North America (ideally Cape Cod), Asia or somewhere sunny in Europe for 2 weeks. For Christmas 2010 we would like to go skiing in North America or Europe. As this is a second home we can be flexible on dates and non-simultaneous would be fine. Please contact us if you have any questions, or want to find out more about us or our house.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are in a quiet, safe attractive area of North West London. It's great for children; Queen's Park (with its cafe, playground, sandpit, tennis courts, pitch and putt and paddling pool) is a two minute walk. There are good local shops, delis, cafes, restaurants and pubs in the neighbourhood. Our closest tube station is Queen's Park (Bakerloo line) - a 10 minute walk across the park. Just round the corner you can catch the bus to Oxford Street (25 mins) or Portobello Road / Notting Hill (10 mins) and Kensington (20mins). London buses run throughout the night if you go to the theatre or for dinner in town. The overground train station is a three minute walk, taking you to Hampstead Heath in one direction or Kew Gardens in the other. London itself doesn't need much introduction - it's Europe's most vibrant and exciting city with fantastic restaurants, museums, galleries, parks and shopping. We are 10 minutes from Westfield, London's stunning new shopping centre - if you like that kind of thing.
