Our home

Our home was built around 1900 and has many original features but it's a bright, airy and modern family home.

The heart of the home is the large kitchen diner with everything you would expect to find, kitchen aid, Magimix etc. The dining table seats 10. Next to the kitchen is the playroom with LOTS of toys, TV and wii. There is also a comfy sofa bed in this room. On the first floor is a large family bathroom and an impressive double reception room with matching marble Victorian fireplaces. Upstairs are three bedrooms, the kids room has bunk beds. The spare room has a double bed and a toddler bed. The master bedroom is large and has a king sized double.

The there is a small garden out the back. It's south facing and is real sun-trap. There is a table and chairs on a paved patio and a lovely play house.

Who we are

  1. We are professional family with three children who understand very well how to behave and respect other people's property. When she was growing up Fiona's family took part in home exchanges and it's something we have been organizing informally with friends, now we are ready to branch out!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We love our neighbourhood. Lots of families live around here and we have great neighbours. You can be in Central London in 40 minutes or enjoying a coffee in the cafe in the park at the end of the street.

Transport links are excellent. There are numerous buses from Newington Green (2 mins walk) which will take you directly to pretty much anywhere in Central London. The nearest tube Highbury and Islington on the Victoria line is a 20 minute walk, but the overland at Canonbury or Dalston Kingsland is just 10 minutes away. You are 15 minutes on a bus from Kings Cross, where you can jump on the Eurostar to Paris for the weekend, 10 minutes to Islington Upper Street which has great restaurants, bars, shops Cinemas, Theatres. In the other direction you can take a 25 minute bus journey to the Thames, London Bridge, Waterloo, The Tate Modern, London Eye etc.

Within walking distance there is plenty to do, Clissold park with its paddling pool and huge playground, the leisure centre and swimming pool, Church St, with its quirky shops and village atmosphere and Dalston with its uber cool bars, street markets and restaurants. Newington Green is at the end of the road and is a open green space with a playground and cafe. Newington Green has selection of coffee shops, a French boulangerie, several restaurants (a fab pizzeria and a Tapas bar), a couple of great pubs.
