Our home
We are proud of our house in East London. We enjoy the local area with its diverse, family friendly community.
Our home has been recently renovated and is now more modern and spacious on the inside than the outside suggests. It is situated in the main street of the famous Walthamstow Village which attracts lots of visitors at the weekends in particular. It is only 20 minutes by tube to the centre of London, with all its famous attractions.
We have three double bedrooms, two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A small living room at the front of the house with a television as well as another open plan living room, dining room, kitchen at the back of the house. We are lucky enough to have a very large garden for a London home and we spend a lot of time in it during the summer months.
We have broadband internet and Sky TV as well as a movie projector and screen for cosy, family evenings in.

“Ama, Tony and their kids are very nice people. Their house is very comfortable and it has a nice garden. The area is quiet and the street in which they live has several nice shops and restaurants. We had a very pleasant stay and hope to return in the future. Frank and Ellen”
“We have spend 4 days in the house of Ama and Tony. Their house is lovely. They have a big garden with squirrels and we even saw a fox in the early morning. Their street is very cosy with good restaurants and interesting shops. Their place is called Mini Holland because it is made suitable for bike riders. Ama, Tony and their kids are very nice people. Hopefully we can do again an exchange in the future. Frank and Ellen”
“Hi, Our swap with Ama and Tony was great. It was nice to communicate with this family, we have a good time when we see each other in London, specially in the pub just near the house. Ama and Tony do there best to realise this exchange. We loved Walthamstow, for us it was a perfect place to visit London because after a big day in the busy London, when you arrived at orford road, it was like i a village, quiet, trendy ;-) and easy to live. Just 5 minutes to the undergroud with big market and shops to buy what you need. We do not use car at all. The house of Ama and Tony is very pleasant to live with nice garden. When we came back at Nîmes, our home was clean, perfect, without any trouble... So if you want to go to London, Ama and Tony are the good persons. Let's go !”
Who we are
-
We are Ama and Tony. We are a married couple and are 49 and 53 years old. We have two children together aged 13 and 10. Both Tony and I are teachers in secondary schools so we look forward to getting away when we can. As a family, we love to draw, listen to music and watch movies together. We have done one house swap now and we are eager to repeat the experience.
We would welcome an email exchange or face time conversations with anyone who we exchange with.

Where is it?
Your neighbourhood
Walthamstow Village is a vibrant area of London and makes the most of its historical roots, with pretty shop fronts and a small local museum. It is a short distance to the centre of London, the Olympic Park in Stratford and the open spaces of Epping Forest and Lea Valley.
The bus and tube stations are only a short walk away where you can also find an array of supermarkets and other shops. However, if you don't fancy the walk (or short bus ride), our street and the immediate area is very vibrant, with a selection of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and boutique shops to choose from, where children are welcome. There is also a charming farmer's market each Saturday right opposite our house as well as a micro brewery around the corner.
A short walk away, there is a children's play park where your youngsters can run off steam.
