Our home

I have a spacious one bedroom flat in Islington, which is well located for central London. It has been very recently redecorated throughout in warm pastel colours. It has attractive wood floors throughout. The living room has plenty through two large 7' windows in the living room, plenty of bookcases and plants. It looks out onto Arundel Sq. The bedroom has a double bed, large closets and gets lots of afternoon sun. Three steps lead down past the utility room, which contains freezer, washer/dryer boiler and more storage space to a good sized bathroom with a large bath and shower. The flat is contained with 3 others as part of a typical London conversion of late Victorian town house.

Who we are

  1. I'm a single journalist/actor in my 40s and I lived in the USA for the 1990s. I've always wanted to live there for another extended period rather than just visit. I enjoy the arts, but also the outdoor life and I'm into keep fit activities.

Your neighbourhood

Islington is superbly located for both the City of London and the West End. I live 5 mins from tube stations at Highbury and Islington, on the Victoria Line, and Caledonian Road on the Piccadilly Line. Upper Street, with lots of bars and restaurants, is a short walk away. There are several good pubs with restaurant standard food within yards of the front door. Islington is very well supplied by buses, several, such as the 19 and 38, take you into the heart of the West End in 20 minutes. This area of Islington is called Barnsbury, and has many streets of charming early Victorian and Georgian properties, Highbury Fields, a park of about 1 mile square and ideal for jogging/walking/picnics (weather permitting) is 10 minutes walk away.
