Our home

Our fantastic Victorian terrace flat is over four floors and newly refurbished. It is situated in Crouch end - a lovely part of London.

We are close to major transport (just 20 minutes on the underground to Covent Garden).

The apartment has a cleaner who comes once a week.

It has high speed broadband.

It is contemporary with clean lines, a modern kitchen and many original features such as original fireplaces.

It is 10 minutes to Hornsey station which brings you to the city and connections to Piccadilly line, Victoria, circle, Hammersmith and Fulham lines in 15 minutes and is a 10 min walk to the underground on the well connected Piccadilly line (with Covent garden, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester square).

There are loads of local restaurants in the affluent and arty Crouch End right at the end of the street and Muswell Hill (1.5 miles away) areas.

Who we are

  1. We are Oonagh and Gordon. We are originally Irish but have lived in London since 2008. We are in our 30s and 40s respectively and have no children. We both work for charities and enjoy travelling when we can to a variety of different places. We love to be consumed by the local culture, particularly the food, and love to run (we have ran marathons in London, Lausanne in Switzerland, Thessaloniki, Moldova and Paris).

So far we have exchanged to Geneva, southern Italy, Charleston in South Carolina, the Gold Coast of Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Zagreb, Hawaii, Bonn in Germany, San Sebastián and are going to Canada in 2019. All of these have been a real success.

We have visited all 52 countries in Europe - a task we set and completed within three years it was amazing! We are open to weekend exchanges.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

This is ideally located for anyone visiting London. Within 15 minutes you are in zone 1, the centre of London, where you can explore all the famous attractions - Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Tate Gallery, Covent Garden and many more. The immediate area is in the leafy and arty Crouch End with many beautiful restaurants and bars, comedy nights etc and Muswell Hill which has a similarly village feel.

The local pubs do a selection of British Ales and a fantastic traditional Sunday lunch and there are loads of restaurants at the end of the street.

The apartment is close to Alexandra Palace which has a beautiful park, ice skating and a boating lake - this was the place that television was first broadcast. You are also walking distance to Highgate Wood, a beautiful English wood and a local park with a boating lake, cafe and paddling pool for the kids (Priory Park).
