Our home

We live in a large Victorian family house. It is spacious, clean and characterful. There are 3 bedrooms, one with a single bed, one with a double and one with bunk beds. There is another bed in the front living room. We have 3 girls (11, 8 and 3) and this is a family home with a lovingly tended garden that backs onto other gardens with large trees at the back. It feels tranquil and quiet whilst remaining close to all that London has to offer. There is one large bathroom with shower and separate toilet downstairs.

Property features

Who we are

  1. I am Jojo married to Stephen with three daughters, Beatrice (11), Hannah (8) and Matilda (2). I am food writer and Stephen is a commercials producer. We love our home and home you will too. It is a peaceful and relaxing place to be so you can exhaust yourself touring London and then spend quiet days in the hammock recovering. We love to cook, garden and fly kites in the park.

We have not home exchanged before but like the idea of staying in a home rather than a hotel.

Your neighbourhood

We live right in the centre of Victoria Park village. Just a few 100 yards away we have one of London's finest butchers, an independent wine shop, deli, fishmongers and bakery. Victoria Park is 400 metres from the house. The Olympic park is also within walking distance. Victoria Park is a beautiful landscaped area of park land, children's playgrounds and lakes, perfect for running, cycling or rollerblading. Shoreditch and Brick Lane for art galleries, vintage shopping, fashion and restaurants are a short bus ride away making this an ideal spot for a family with teenagers or anyone with an interest in contemporary art. The Barbican art centre for concerts and exhibitions is also near by. The central line takes you into the West End from Bethnal Green in 10 minutes for theatre, art, shopping and restaurants. This location combines a village feel with plenty to do near by or a short journey to Central London's many attractions.
