Our home

The house was completely re-furbished at the beginning of 2010 so everything still works very well!
The house is very spacious and comfortable. It has a large, modern eat-in kitchen and two living rooms with a wood-burning stove and a piano. There are 3 double bedrooms upstairs and 2 single bedrooms. We have a study and utility room.
Outside, the garden has a south facing terrace and lawn, with barbeque. Our road is very quiet with really nice neighbours. Our exchange family last summer had a great time at our road's 'street party' where they excelled at the table-tennis and sack races apparently.....

Who we are

  1. I run a training business with my sister, and my husband is a primary school teacher. We have two sons aged 13 and 15. We love to visit new places and have done two exchanges - Granada in Spain and Provence, France.

We would, of course, treat your home with great respect.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The house is on a very quiet road with lovely neighbours. Behind the house is a railway but it has infrequent, slow running trains so it is not a problem - we like it as it means we have trees at the back.

We are a short walk from a train station and bus stops with frequent services into central London (about 1/2 hour journey time). Brixton tube is a short bus-ride away. There are also good connections to places of interest outside London, such as Brighton.

There are lots of places to visit in the local area - Dulwich Picture Gallery was the first public art gallery in the country, and there are many parks in this part of London. Brixton is a vibrant area with a huge selection of restaurants and bars, as well as a big market. It is also where you can get the tube into central London (14 minutes).

We have a small park on our road with tennis courts and a playground perfect for smaller children. There are plenty of shops, restuarants and other services within walking distance. We would help all we could to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.

We could exchange a car if you wanted it for trips outside London.
