Our home

Our home is a 4 bed Victorian terrace house in Stoke Newington. It has a very spacious living room with sofa, armchairs and a piano. The kitchen is large and recently upgraded with new cupboards. It has a table seating 6 and it looks out on the small but pretty garden with a bench, table and chairs.

There are 2 single rooms belonging to our daughters (one medium-sized, one large), a large double bedroom on the third floor with an ensuite shower room. The guest room is small and has a comfortable double sofa bed and desk. The main bathroom is newly decorated and there is also a separate wc downstairs.
We have a friendly cat that we'd like you to feed, please.

Who we are

  1. We are Katharine and Jim and work in Communications and Journalism. Our daughters are 14 and 16 and they are interested in music, clothes and looking after our friendly cat (who we'd like you to feed, please!). We all love exploring new places, especially cultural sites and city breaks but we also enjoy beach trips.
We have done five great house swaps now and we know the importance of caring for your home.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Stoke Newington is a very fashionable part of North East London and is brimming with independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The nearby Clissold Park is lovely for walks or running and has a cafe in the 18th century mansion, tennis courts, playground, deer enclosure and ponds. Abney Park cemetery is a managed nature haven which is great for atmospheric walks.

We are near 'hipster' Dalston which has lots of vintage clothes shops and cool cafes and excellent independent cinema.

To get to the west end, in central London, you can take a bus the whole way or bus then tube. The journey takes 30-45 minutes. The nearest stations are Stoke Newington, Highbury and Islington or Finsbury Park.
