Our home

Our home is an Edwardian (1908) mid terraced house with a pretty rear garden and terrace. The house is comfortable and spacious and has a living room (with coal fire), playroom, kitchen with dining table, laundry plus five bedrooms and two bathrooms (one ensuite). The sleeping provision is as follows: Master Bedroom with king size bed, Guest room with double bed plus ensuite shower room including toilet and sitting area, Single guest bedroom with single bed and additional pull out bed, Childs bedroom with bed that extends to a single bed, Childs bedroom with a cotbed. We also have a travel cot with mattress which can be used if required. Our house is able to sleep 7 people comfortably with the option to accommodate a further person on the pull out bed.

Who we are

  1. We are Rachel and James, a married couple with a daughter aged 5 years and a son aged 3 years. We are both professionals and met whilst working overseas in the early 1990's. Our au pair Cassie lives with us and may come with us on the exchange, however, she may also take the opportunity to visit relatives. We have not done a home exchange previously but feel it is a good way to see another country/location and to allow someone to experience our home and London.

Ideally located within Crouch End, a leafy area of North London only six miles from the West End. The local area offers a good selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and traditional pubs in addition to parks, tennis courts and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and is popular with young families. Close to Muswell Hill, Hampstead Heath and village and Highgate. We are located in Zone 3 travelzone and are within a five minute walk of the local railway station which provides easy access to Central London both the West End and City (both accessible within 25 minutes) for shopping and sightseeing. The number 91 bus also provides direct access to Euston and Trafalgar Square and we are within a 10 minute walk from the Picadilly Line tube network.
