Our home

A lovely, homely and peaceful garden flat situated in North Kensington. The main living area is open plan and there is a charming garden to the rear of the flat, accessed through the main bedroom. Sitting back from the road slightly, there is also a small garden to the front of the property and a private drive.

As well as the double and single beds, there is a sofa bed in the living room and we can also offer a 'bed in a bag' roll out mattress so the apartment can accommodate up to 6 people if necessary.

The sun rises in the morning at the rear and sets at the front, so there is lots of light throughout the day adding to our homes atmosphere. We love spending time in our home and hope you will find it as warm and inviting as we do.

Who we are

  1. I'm Lisa, an artist and a programme manager for a local arts organisation. I also deliver creative projects in schools and set up a forest school for our local community.

I have lived in the local area for around 30 years and live in the flat with my 14 year old son. He loves climbing, cooking, playing steel pan, any mode of transport where he gets to wear or use wheels, and of course his iPad...

We have experience of house exchange, having had a wonderful holidays in Barcelona and around France living like locals. We have had such a great time, we would like to continue exploring this way of holidaying.

Your neighbourhood

Situated in fashionable North Kensington - some refer to it as Notting Hill - our flat is a short walk to the world famous Portobello Road and its market. There you will find quirky boutiques & shops, vintage clothing and a selection of great restaurants and bars, as well as live music venues. It is also home to the biggest annual street party in Europe - The Notting Hill Carnival, which the Great Grandmother of my son's best friend started, and as residents in the area for many years, we are very proud to have this as part of our local heritage.

In contrast to this, the apartment is situated close to two large green spaces known as Little Scrubs and Big Scrubs as well as a more cultivated park with an exciting water play area for younger children - fantastic in the summertime.

We have a number of buses stop at the end of our road including the number 7 which takes you directly into the West End and the British Museum. Our nearest tube station, Latimer Road, is a 12 minute walk.

We are also fortunate to have all the major museums on our doorstep; Science, Natural History and V & A as well as the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens. We also have a world class climbing wall 5 minutes walk away at Westway Sports Centre. You won't be short of things to do while you are here!
