Our home

Our flat is recently refurbished, bright and spacious with high ceilings, an open plan kitchen and wooden floors throughout. The bedroom has a double bed and the lounge a double bed sleeping sofa. An additional matress and baby cot are optional. The decor is in light colors with white walls but we have a lot of things that give our place an individual, homy atmosphere. One bicycle with child seat is included in the swap.

Who we are

  1. We are Tina and Jon, in our early and late thirties, a fine art photographer and a computer programmer. We are originally from Germany and Israel so we travel a lot anyway to see our families but we always like to explore new places. We have a toddler Atreyu (20 months old) and are keen to travel around with him. Whenever we have travelled abroad we have always tried to stay locally with families or in guest houses with a homy feel and a welcoming atmosphere. Several of our friends have had a great time on home exchanges and we love the idea and want to give it a go.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The flat is situated very close (3 min walk) to Manor House tube station on the picadilly line (zone 2). Our street has no through traffic so it is very quiet. We are situated between 2 lovely green, spacious and kids friendly parks, Finsbury Park (50 meters) and Clissold park in Stoke Newington(10 min walk). The area is residential with many victorian homes. The nearest shops are at the tube station or a big supermarket is 5 min up the road. Post office and banks are at Finsbury Park station (10 min walk). There are also excellent bus connections into town. The nearest restaurants are in Stoke Newington (15 min walk), Highbury (10 min) or Crouch End (15 min). For Theatre, nightlife and cinemas the picadilly line offers a 17 min ride to Leicester square in the centre of town.
