Our home

We live in an Edwardian terraced house with many period features in Crouch End- a trendy area, with lots of cafes and shops in the north of London.
On the ground floor we have 2 lounges, the front one with sofas and an open fireplace, and the back one with a large library and toys for our kids.
The kitchen/diner has a large dining table and is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, an oven, a large gas hob, and a microwave. The kitchen opens onto the garden, where we have a gas operated barbecue that is very friendly to use, and lovely plants and pots.
Next to the kitchen there's a wc.
Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms - 2 children's bedrooms, and one large parents' bedroom. there's also on that floor a bathroom with a bath/shower and a separate toilet.
We've recently done the loft and that provides another bedroom with an en suite shower and toilet. It has large windows and an amazing view of the surroundings, including Alexandra palace.

Who we are

  1. We are a family of four. My husband and I are both professionals - Tal is an architect and I am an artist/filmmaker. We have an 8 years old girl who goes to school and a 4 years old boy. We also have a small dog (king charles spaniel) called Lady who stays at a friend's house when we arrange swaps.

We are mainly interested in taking short holidays in Europe and have exchanged many times through this website and found it to be a delightful way of traveling - getting to know places and people with some we have kept in touch.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Crouch End is a young, lively, and friendly enclave in north London with a village like feel. We have lots of independent shops, supermarkets, good restaurants and cafes and gastropubs as well as parks, woods, a swimming pool and most amenities on our door step.
Nearby are Highgate wood and Queens wood - 2 beautiful woods that one feels like in the countryside when taking walks there.
To the north is Alexandra Park and to the south Finsbury Park. The Parkland Walk, a former railway line, connects these two parks. Other parks in the area include Stationers' Park which is 3 minutes away and has a great new playground, Priory Park and Crouch Hill Park.

The transport links are good. 2 mins walk will take you to direct links to the Picadilly and Victoria Line to Covent Garden and Oxford Circus. 10 mins walk will take you to Hornsey train station which runs to Moorgate and Kings Cross.
