Our home

A large and beautifully furnished apartment occupying the entire first floor of a Victorian building in central London.
There is one bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a study and another bathroom. The main bedroom has a double bed and plenty of cupboard space.
A good size terrace with BBQ, table and 4 chairs leads off the study.
The lounge with high ceilings and cornicing has two sofas, a dining table for 4-6, a radio/CD player, an original fireplace and a TV.
The kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of cooking utensils.
The flat is not only very spacious but also gets a lot of light. It is very quiet: both the main bedroom and the study overlook gardens at the rear. WiFi is available throughout the flat.

Who we are

  1. I am originally from Germany but have lived in London for many years. I love this city because it has so much to offer: galleries and museums, historic buildings, big parks, restaurants, concerts, opera, ballet, shopping, etc, etc. The different ethnicities which have settled here have all made their contribution to the city as it is today.
Since I no longer work, I am in the privileged position of being able to enjoy many of the things mentioned above. I have always been interested in travel and different cultures. I would like to use this time in my life to revisit some old favorites and but also to expand my horizon by visiting new destinations.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The apartment is situated in a good and safe neighbourhood. It is near public transport with two underground stations (Swiss Cottage and Finchley Road) and several buses less than 10 minutes walk away. The 'West End' where it all happens - Bond Street, Oxford Street, St James', Trafalgar Square - are only three or four stations respectively on one of the best underground lines in London, which is the Jubilee line. It also leads to Westminster (Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey), Waterloo (South Bank Centre with 3 concert halls, the National Theater and the Hayward Gallery)Southwark (Tate Modern, Borough Market on Saturdays) the Olympic Village and Greenwich.
There are several small supermarkets, dry cleaners, hairdressers, a beauty salon and various restaurants (Chinese, Indian, Japanese and European) within less than 5 min walk. Two bigger supermarkets are between 7-10 minutes by foot.
