Our home

Our home is a classic London terrace, built in 1896. It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two reception rooms. It has a comfy, generous feel to it, and is a real home. We moved here 36 years ago and our four daughters grew up here. The garden is tiny, but as the whole area is pleasant and green, we can always walk out the door and walk around the big commons (parks) at each end of the road.

Who we are

  1. We are Viv and David, both British, and recently retired following 15 years working in international organisations in Denmark. We had careers in communications, public health and environmental policy. We have four daughters and five grandchildren, and we have a house in South London, which could also be part of this swap from autumn 2015.

We love theatre, films, current affairs, cycling, music, swimming and walking. We have done several few house swaps over the years, all a success, and we would look after your house with great care.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our area is leafy, and known by estate agents as "twixt the commons" or "Nappy Valley". This is a reference to the number of young professional families who live here.

The area is prosperous and peaceful.

We have a lot of lovely shops, a library, and good connections. Two train stations (Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Common) are within walking distance, and the trains whizz you straight to central London in about 10 minutes. A bus ride away is Tooting Lido, which is the largest open air pool in the UK! Theatres, films, swimming pools and the many attractions of the capital, are all accessible from here.
