Our home

We've lived in our house since 2003 and have put a lot of soul and energy into restoring it to provide a very pleasant and comfortable space. It's a Victorian house and has many original features. The four spacious bedrooms include three with double beds and one with bunkbeds. The house measures 175sqm, has a lovely sunny back garden, modern kitchen, piano, 32" flatscreen TV with cable channels, BluRay and WiFi Broadband.

Who we are

  1. I am a creative director in an advertising agency and my wife is an education consultant. Our two girls, aged 18 and 15, and an 8 year old boy are very well behaved and we all like to keep our surroundings clean and tidy.

We love spending time in and around our house, having BBQs with friends in our garden, enjoying a nice Italian pizza with a glass of wine or settling into a lovely gastro pub for a Sunday roast. We also make good use of London's attractions as we have a particular interest in modern art and love to try foods from other cultures.

We have a very friendly female cat who we would want to leave in the house while we are away.

We have had many successful swaps in Spain, Portugal, Israel, France and Germany, made some lifelong friends, and are keen to do it again.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our house is located on a quiet street in a friendly cosmopolitan area of North London. Great local boutiques, vintage shops, restaurants, cafes and bars are all within 5 minutes walk. Clissold Park provides a great outdoor activity opportunity, with children's playground, tennis courts and football pitch.

If serious fun and bustle are what you're after, a 30 minute bus ride will take you straight into the town centre. We're 15 mins from trendy Shoreditch and only a 10 minute walk from what is considered the style centre of the capital, Dalston with its fashionable nightlife. As we live in Zone 2 (of six London zones) we are relatively central if you are looking to see the sights.
