Your neighbourhood

Uxbridge is a town on the western edge of London and has good cinema and shopping facilities, as well as lots of restaurants and pubs and supermarkets- all less than a 10 minute walk. It has easy access to Central London on the Metropolition and Picadilly tube lines (50 mins). Trains run until the early hours of the morning so going to a West End Show or dinner is not a problem. We have a frequent bus service to Heathrow Airport. As we live on the western edge of greater London other areas of interest are accessible by car- Windsor and Eton (20 mins), Stratford upon Avon (1 hour 20 mins)and for walkers there is The Chilterns. You can also visit other favourites such as Kew Gardens,Richmond, Hampton Court Palace and Henley on Thames. There is a regular bus service to Oxford nearby (45 mins). For adventure park fans, Legoland, Chessington & Thorpe Park are all within 40 minutes drive all of which have fantastic rides and roller coasters. Previous house swap guests also visited Stone Henge and Brighton (Just over 1 Hour drive). We live in a quiet, family orientated area with friendly neighbours.
