“Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à Londres ! La maison est charmante, idéalement située contre le parc de Greenwich, à 3 minutes d'une gare ferroviaire, avec une splendide vue sur Londres. Nous avons eu d'excellents échanges avec Carolynne avant, pendant et après cet échange. Ils ont pris grand soin de notre maison. Nous ne pouvons que fortement recommander cette adresse qui nous a permis de passer de merveilleuses vacances Laetitia & Yvan”

“We had a wonderful holiday at Carolynne's lovely house. We had already been in Greenwich before, but living as a local just outside the park and the observatory was something we never experienced before. We took this opportunity also to explore in details all the elegant East End side of London, easily reachable in 10-15 minutes by trains running every ten minutes just a few steps from her house. We were blessed also with a lovely weather during our staying there and the view from the terrace and from the"cinemascope" window of the main bedroom was amazing. Thank you again Carolynne and Richard for this unforgettable exchange!”
“We had a great exchange in summer 2016 to this beautiful and comfortable home in London Greenwich. It Was a perfect setting : we could enjoy the beautiful park of Greenwich and also had a very easy access to the city center! Carolynne and Richard were very helpfull and they left our house in a wonderfull condition. We had a great exchange with this family so we Hardly recommand”
“Marvelous exchange with a kind family. The house is big and comfortable and "cosy", near from transports, well equipped with a garden and most of all an AMAZING view by day but most of all by night of London!”
Who we are
-
We are a busy family with both parents working in Central London. Our girls are aged 13 and 11 and are at local schools. We have lovely neighbours who will make you very welcome. We'd love to offer our home for a holiday swap to people who will take good care of it and enjoy the amazing location. Please note that we don't smoke and regretfully, can't accept pets due to family allergies.
-
Carolynne is a director of a large UK cancer charity and Richard works for an overseas education charity. We both work part time in order to balance work and family life.
-
We love to explore historic locations, and enjoy swimming and paddle boarding at nearby beaches, river and lakes.

Where is it?

We are right next to Greenwich's beautiful Royal Park, host to London's Olympic Equestrian Event and site of the National Maritime Museum, The Royal Observatory and The Queen's House.
Greenwich has many restaurants, shops, a famous market and is also home to the celebrated Cutty Sark tea clipper and the beautiful Painted Hall and Chapel of the Old Royal Naval College on the river side.
The 02, the UK's premiere music venue, is 5 minutes away by bus. There are 3 cinemas within minutes of the house and a public swimming pool, gym and fitness centre 5 minutes away. The park has open air tennis courts and a large children's playground.
Public transport is from Maze Hill station which is 2 mins walk from the house. From there you are only 15 minutes from Central London.
You can also travel to Greenwich by bus, tube, DLR and the delightful river boat service.
The main A2 road is minutes from the house which makes it very easy to leave London by car to explore the beautiful English countryside. Within an hour you can be on the Kent coast or at one of many national historical sites like Leeds or Hever Castle. Bluewater, the large modern shopping centre is 20 minutes by car.
Greenwich is a historic 'village', the birth place of Henry VIII and his children Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Mary I and is therefore steeped in history. As such it is often used as a film set, for example in Les Miserable, the Pirates of the Caribbean, The Queen, the Young Victoria and almost anything about Sherlock Holmes!
It really is an amazing location for a holiday!
