Our home

Our home comprises hall, cloakroom with WC, dining room with multi-fuel burner, lounge with HD television with Freeview, Sky Sports and BT Sports, kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, gas hob and electric oven and a separate pantry with fridge and freezer, two double bedrooms and one single, conservatory, bathroom with washbasin and bath with electric shower over and a separate WC. There is a garage and a car port with room for another car in front. The house is reached by a total of twenty steps up the side of the front garden which has a small lawn and a patio. To the rear the back garden is quite a steep hillside with shrubs.

Who we are

We are an active retired couple who have been home exchanging since 1989 and have completed over sixty exchanges. We love exploring places new to us and revisiting places we have enjoyed in the past. We do not enjoy flying and restrict our exchanges to the UK and mainland Europe these days - particularly places we can reach by train.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our house stands on the hillside above Llanfairfechan and offers spectacular views across the golf course and the town to the Irish Sea, Anglesey, Puffin Island and on clear days the Isle of Man! The house is in the Snowdonia National Park and paths to the hills start just yards from our gate. There are many ancient castles, National Trust properties and resorts within easy reach and the beautiful city of Chester is about an hour by car or train. Llanfairfechan offers shops, Post Office, ATM (no bank any more I'm afraid), railway station and a lovely sandy Blue Flag beach with a wonderful backdrop of the mountains of Snowdonia. It is a superb place for walking, sightseeing and bird watching.
