Knaresborough is a traditional Georgian market town in North Yorkshire. The house is on the edge of the town with easy access to the A1 motorway. The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac and at the back is woodland and walks by the riverside which lead into the town centre. A children's play-park is only minutes away from the house. it is 10 miles to the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Yorkshire Dales and the route of the Grand Depart / Tour de Yorkshire. There are lots of walking and cycling routes locally.
Knaresborough town centre is only a few minutes by car or a 20 minute walk away and has a quaint market place with lots of independent shops, cafe's, pubs and restaurants. There are many tourist attractions such as the Waterside where there is boating on the river Nidd, Mother Shipton's Cave, our lady of the Crag and St Robert's cave.
Knaresborough also has Knareborough Castle which is a 12th Century ruined fortress overlooking the river Nidd.
Knaresborough has a train station, the line runs between Leeds and York. The neighboring town is the spa town of Harrogate which is also on the same train line. Harrogate boasts a thriving Arts and Cultural scene including a host of private galleries, theatres and various festivals.
