Who we are

  1. We are Chris and Ken , both retired.

We love our home and garden, Chris is a keen gardener, and Ken enjoys going fishing in his spare time. We enjoy going up to London to the Theatre. We like to travel and explore new places and go off on holiday as much as we can.

We have exchanged before and it worked very well.

For obvious reasons, we wish to travel to warmer regions in our English winter and are hoping for an exchange or exchanges and to be away somewhere between October and March, for, altogether for about 6 weeks. We would probably combine an exchange with our own independent traveling.

We would love to explore New Zealand and would perhaps like to go off on a tour whilst at our 'exchange home'.

We know and love Adelaide and would be very happy to visit again.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Kings Langley is an historic English village, 21 miles north of central London on the southern edge of the Chiltern Hills. It was once the location of a Royal palace of the Plantagenet Kings of England. The 12th century parish church of All Saints houses the tomb of the first Duke of York.

We are only 30 minutes away from London (with all its attractions) by fast train (15 minute walk from the station) yet is within beautiful countryside. Village shops can supply most needs, but large supermarkets are only minutes away.

The towns of St. Albans, Berkhamsted and Tring, with lots of history and nice old shops are nearby. More modern Watford and Hemel Hempstead are also only a short distance away.

Many country pubs and restaurants are within close proximity, one at the top of the road!

Sport centres nearby. Lots of nice walks alongside the canal or into the countryside, all only minutes away.

Harry Potter studios are a 10 minute drive away!

M25 2 minutes away, with easy access to the south coast, you can be in Brighton, Sussex, within 2 hours (or less, depending on traffic!) Of course easy access to other motorways means you can soon be on your way to the north of England.
