Who we are

  1. We are a couple from Scotland. We have two children who have just graduated from university.
This is our holiday home and we enjoy relaxing and watching the tides ebb and flow and just enjoy life. The bikes are there to explore a little further or just help us get to the pub more quickly!
This will be our eleventh house swap and we hope to enjoy many more in the coming years. We will be very respectful of your property and will treat it as our own. We hope and trust visitors to our apartment will do the same. We are non smokers and have no pets.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The apartment is a part of a new marina complex built on the grounds of the Ardgowan family estate, Ancestors of Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland http://www.ardgowan.co.uk. You can tread along the very same garden walks that Scottish nobles built or visit and play some world famous golf courses. Sail, hike, fish, horse ride or just chill on the secluded, almost private beach...only yards away from our doorstep! Visit Sea Change Therapies within the marina and have a relaxing massage or beauty treatment http://www.seachangetherapies.co.uk . The famous City of Culture, Glasgow, is only 35-minutes away by car or train for wonderful shopping, first class dining, clubbing, museums, theatre, cinema etc. http://peoplemakeglasgow.com/ and Edinburgh. www.visitscotland.com/destinations-maps/edinburgh-lothians/ Is around 90 minutes away by car or train. Glasgow Airport is less than 30 minutes away. The apartment is well equipped for self catering, however, if you are looking for someone else to do the cooking, there is both a lively restaurant www.thechartroom.co.uk and a cosy cafe within the marina itself but a 10 minute walk into the local village of Inverkip provides further dining options www.inverkip.co.uk/ as well as supermarket and other village amenities and train station with a regular service to Glasgow.
We are also close to the world famous golf courses of Turnberry, Troon and Loch Lommond. St Andrews is approx 2 hours away. There are also several smaller golf courses within a short drive.

Best restaurants
There is a restaurant in the Marina with another Hotel, bar and excellent restaurant in the village which is 10 minute walk away.

Glasgow city centre is 35 minutes away by car or train where you can visit many bars, restraints and club.

We love to walk into the village to the Inverkip hotel for dinner or drinks in their very cosy lounge.
