Our home

Our home is an Edwardian townhouse built in 1901 with many original features. It is an ideal family home for us and our four children as there are two reception rooms downstairs where we can enjoy time together or create some quiet space to relax and unwind alone. The large family kitchen is the hub of the house which opens onto a patio area for outdoor dining - something which we love to do as much as possible. The next two floors contain 6 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and an ensuite shower in the master bedroom which overlooks the park and duck pond.

Who we are

  1. My name is Liam and I am a headteacher of a special school for children with autism. My wife Margaret is also a teacher and our four children attend the local grammar schools. We like to spend time as a family but the children also enjoy playing hockey and badminton for local clubs. I play at the local tennis club but also enjoy cycling as a way of keeping fit. We enjoy travelling and spent three years working in the Caribbean before having the children. Our children are well behaved and polite and know the importance of taking good care of their home which obviously extends to wherever we stay. We wish to exchange in July/August 2010 so that we can visit family who live on the Gold Coast. This will be our last holiday as a family as our oldest children (twins)will go to university in September 2011.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our house is situated in West Kirby, on the Wirral peninsular ans is within walking distance to the marine lake, beach, Ashton Park and the local shops. It is a popular location for day trips from around the region. There is good local transport into Liverpool which was Eurpoean Capital of Culure 2008 and the Roman city of Chester is a short drive away so ther is plenty to see and do. It is a 30 minute drive into North Wales with spectacular scenery, good walking and climbing opportunities. We are fortunate to live in a much sought after area where there are plenty of leisure activities including golf (the Open was held here 2 years ago) tennis and water sports. The Wirral peninsular is an ideal base for touring other parts of England and Wales while providing plenty to do on the days you decide to stay locally.
