Our house is in a Victorian terrace, built around 1860. it backs onto Hove seafront where you can ride your bike all the way to Worthing - about 12 miles and in the other direction to Rottingdean, about 7 miles. Mostly off road. The house faces south and has sea views from bedroom 1, kitchen and main bathroom. It is bright and airy.
The house is very comfortable and spacious. High speed broadband is available throughout.
The rooms have high ceilings. A large kitchen/diner that leads on to the big living room which has a flat screen HD TV and 2 sofas.
Kitchen has the usual appliances; oven, gas hob, kettle, toaster, Fridge/freezer, washing machine but not a dishwasher or a clothes dryer.
There is a WC and wash handbasin on this floor plus a small room which is used as a study, with a shower.
On the second floor is a large bedroom 1 with stripped original floors, with sea views and a large bedroom with en-suite shower, WC and wash-handbasin.
We are sporty, enjoying cycling and walking, plus we love travelling to warm places! I am a writer and interested in languages, rugby, history and puzzles. We are clean and tidy and make the most of the great amenities that Hove and Brighton have to offer. Both non-smokers.
We are of course, respectful of other people's properties.
The location is great for:
Eating out- there are restaurants, Italian, Chinese, Indian etc. a five minute walk away. Just across the road are two traditional pubs selling ale from Sussex and further afield. an artisan baker is 100 metres along the road. supermarket is 6 minutes"walk away and a corner store is, on the corner!
London, trains direct to London Victoria leave from Hove station, two per hour, journey time 55-60 minutes.
Gatwick Airport, trains direct from hove station, journey time about 35 minutes.
Cycling - along the seafront path into the centre of Brighton - the adjacent large town with a Grand Hotel, cinemas, more bars, clubs and restaurants.
Walking hiking on the SouthDowns Way or at the famous Seven Sisters Country Park accessible by bus number 12/13.
Swimming from the beach 100metres away or in the town indoor heated pool 100 metres away.
It is a safe area you can come back late at night with no problems.
