Our home

Our house is situated just outside New Quay, a picturesque fishing village on Cardigan Bay famous for its sailing, water sports,beautiful beaches, dolphin watching and Dylan Thomas! In fact the film 'Edge of Love' starring Keira Knightly, and Matthew Rhys was filmed on location in New Quay. Close by we have Aberaeron with its famous Square designed by Nash and slightly further afield we have the historic towns of Aberyswyth, Cardigan and Fishguard. The area is popular with walkers as it is on the Welsh Coastal Path and the Snowdonian National Park not too far away; golfers will enjoy the many excellent golf courses in the area.

Who we are

We are a recently retired couple looking to explore the world! We are skiers, golfers and sailors but also enjoy walking, fishing,diving ... not to mention eating and drinking! My husband was a dental surgeon and I am a retired Practice Manager.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

New Quay is about two hours drive from Cardiff, three hours from Birmingham, four hours from London. There is a train service to Carmarthan and Aberystwyth but to explore the area a car is essential. One thing New Quay has is the Cardi Bus - a bus service which runs from Easter to end of September to enable walkers to access different areas of the Coastal Path.
