Our home

Lovely interesting 1930s detatched house with 1/3 acre garden (gardening is our passion and we have created a delightful typical English garden. There is a BBQ terrace area, badminton area and at the bottom of the garden in the orchard, children's play equipment and trampoline. A traditional kitchen with central scrubbed pine table, large family front room where we gather. Of the bedrooms two are large, two medium and one small. The house if full of unusual original features which add to its charm.

We love to garden, keep fit, I am a golf nut and Kate an avid interior decorator and artist/musician. We have travelled extensively and although we have visited various parts of the US we have never been to the West Coast so we are keen to do so.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We overlook fields front and back and we are situated in a very safe area just a few hundred yards from the beuatiful 1000 year old market town of Henley-in-Arden with its 900 year old church, Tudor buildings, Georgian and Edwardian houses and pubs and fine restaurants. It is only 6 miles from world-famous Stratford-on-Avon, birthplace of Shakespeare. For extensive shopping 12 miles away is the large Mall at Solihull and 15 miles away the variety of big city Birmingham (UK's second largest city)To the south the Cotswalds are a 45 minute drive and even closer is the ancient town of Warwick with its curios, antique shops and Warwick Castle, reckoned to be the finest example of a complete castle in the UK. All around us are numerous villages, country pubs, rivers and canals, with other attractions like public swimming pools, tennis courts, country club, golf courses (two 400 yards away). Being in the centre of the country nowhere is far with London 90 miles, Wales 50 miles, Yorkshire Dales 140 miles etc.
