Our home

Our family house is newly renovated with modern facilities. Downstairs we have a large lounge, a modern kitchen/diner, a study, WC, and a playroom for the kids. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, one ensuite, a single kids room and a small toddler's room. Again, the bathrooms are modern and clean! We have a large-ish garden with a trampoline for kids (or adults!) We also have a 1973 VW campervan which may be able to be borrowed as part of the house swap !

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a married couple in our 40s (boo!) and we have two boys, aged 9 and 4. We are honest and trustworthy and pretty easy going! We love to travel and have adventures! Sarah is a Human Resources Advisor and Peter is a Business Development Director in the telecoms industry. The kids are at school!

Your neighbourhood

Our village is qutie large, with a great, well stocked village shop just a few metres away from our house, a Post Office and a great English pub/restaurant (recently won a British Pub of the Year Award!). We also have a park with playground, a Sports & Social club with tennis courts and squash courts. The village is on the River Ouse, and you can go for lovely walks along the river in the meadows and it's very scenic! And the great thing is that a small market town called St Ives in on the doorstep for local amenities, and the fantastic city of Cambridge with all its culture and fantastic architecture is only about 20 mins drive away. Great shopping in Cambridge too. London is only 50 mins away by train and you can also easily reach places like Warwick Castle, Oxford etc etc! If you fancy a jaunt to Europe, Stansted airport about an hour away, has low cost flights to all destinations in Europe!
