Our home

We offer an attractive and bright modern four bedroomed home in a quiet cul de sac with a large kitchen, utility room, garage, study,living room, dining room that goes into a large conservatory, a cloakroom, shower room and bath/shower room. The front garden with lawn and shrubs is often sunny and the back is landscaped and terraced with wonderful views over fields and countryside and, on a clear day, even the Peak District. The whole property is beautifully kept and occupied by two adults.

  1. Bob has retired from managing a pharmaceutical company and spends much of his time walking, golfing, swimming and pursuing his interest in Geology.
    Jenny has retired from teaching history and enjoys keep fit, walking,reading and running a women's group.
    We are planning to travel more in Europe and beyond.
    Our two grown up children are working and living in the South of England.

The house is in a village with churches, sporting facilities,country walks,a hotel, two railway stations and a small number of shops. Within ten minutes is Northwich with extensive shops and supermarkets, pubs and walks. It is a town famous for its old and important salt industry. Within half an hour is picturesque Chester dating back to Roman times. It is famous for its Roman, medieval and Tudor remains including its walls and its timber-framed buildings. Also within half an hour is the lively city of Liverpool enjoying a great year as European Capital of Culture. Exciting Manchester, North Wales, the Lake District, the Peaks, Lancashire and Yorkshire are all within an hour or so. Public transport is good and we have two airports within half an hour- Manchester and Liverpool. Cheshire is a very pleasant and green county with lots of charming villages with walks, churches and pubs. There are a number of historic houses set in acres of lovely fields, woods and forests with events such as concerts, classic car shows, food and craft fairs, flower shows. Tatton Hall, Dunham Massey, Arley Hall, Lyme Park and Little Moreton Hall are all local treasures.London is two hours by train.
