Our home

The house is a large, bright stone built, family home with very spacious open plan hall, kitchen and dining area with wooden floor. The lounge is spacious, comfortable, south facing and with a real fire. There is a large seperate playroom which has young children's activities at one end and set up with TV/DVD/playstation at the other for older visitors. The dining area opens out on to the south facing terrace and garden, which has sandpit, large trampoline and slide. Upstairs we have five large bedrooms, two with double beds, one with a bed which opens in to a double, one with a cabin bed and one with a bunk bed with a double bed underneath. We also have a box room with a double (ie could squeeze a couple of children in there!) and a study with broadband internet access. The house could accommodate 4-6 adults and 4-6 children ie two families.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a married couple, Beverley and Simon, and have three children, Alex (a boy aged 11) Hayley (9) and Olivia (4). Bev is a director of an environmental consultancy and Simon is a major projects bid director in the education sector. we have been in the house since June 2004 and love it. We love the outdoors, and enjoy walking, running, cycling etc. We also have a jet ski which we use on a local private lake for water ski-ing, knee-boarding and for inflatables (we may be able to offer these subject to insurance matters etc.)
In life before children we travelled a fair bit and have not lost the desire, simply the funds! We are keen that our children experience other countries and how they live before they have are too old to want to come on holiday with us anymore and a home exchange seems a wonderful way of doing this. We live in a lovely part of the world and would be happy to share it with you.
