We are a family of six who have a large, clean and modern five bedroom house. The house is well-decorated, detached, with a large garden - plenty of space for games! It is warm, with two "living" areas - one for adults, one for children. Every room is in good condition, and the house is equipped with all the gadgets and machines you need. We have a piano, numerous guitars and a drumkit in the garage.
“We have really enjoyed our stay at Guy & Ruth's house. A wonderful peaceful and spacious house where we've had a fantastic time. It was very nice meeting them the day we arrived and lovely the scones their friend Ann brought us to give us a very warm welcome. Harrogate is a very nice town both for children and adults and very convenient to explore the surroundings. More than recommendable, we couldn't have expected a better place to stay.”
“We exchanged with Guy and Ruth this May and right from the start we knew this would be a pleasant exchange, with easy and open communication before and during the exchange and a flexible and friendly approach. Their home is very spacious, clean and comfortable, with lots of local tourist information. Some of their friends even brought round cakes a few hours after we'd arrived! Wow, what a welcome! Harrogate, aside from being a beautiful town itself, is well situated to visit Leeds, the Yorkshire Dales and not too far from the sea. We loved it!”
We are a family of six - Guy and Ruth, with four children aged between 15 and 9. I am a vicar (pastor) at St Mark's Church, Harrogate and Ruth is a chaplain at Harrogate Ladies' College. We enjoy reading, walking, cinema, eating and cooking, music and friends. We haven't done an exchange before, but are keen to share our lovely home - better to have it used and to see parts of the world from a more domestic angle!
We live in a quiet street in the desirable south side of Harrogate, England's premier spa town in the north. We are five minutes' walk from a huge open park and ten minutes' walk from the middle of town. Harrogate is a holiday town - a major shopping centre, with many upmarket restaurants, clubs, parks, health centres (the famous Turkish baths), cinema, theatre, and sports facilities. From Harrogate there is easy access to moors -beautiful walking in wild and unspoilt North Yorkshire, coast, major cities (Leeds, Manchester, York, Newcastle) heritage sites.

Our house is built from the local honey-coloured limestone, and is 200 or so years old. We have fully modernised it, hopefully without it losing its charm....
Fabulous home with uninterrupted views over the sea & Scarborough headland, large lawned garden & ample parking. Sleeps eight to ten.
