Our home

My home is a 1950's chalet bungalow with 3 bedrooms (the master is ensuite), and a family bathroom. There is a well equipped kitchen, separate dining room, large lounge, and study with broadband and wi-fi. There is a new sunroom on the back of the house. The back garden and terrace are south-facing and private - a great sun-trap ! There are superb views to the front and back. It's a comfortable house with a large garage and drive - I've lived here for 14 years, and I think it makes an excellent holiday base for a couple or family with 2 children.

Who we are

  1. I'm a 65 year-old man, retired, who enjoys tennis and cycling. I have a 25 year old daughter who lives and works in London, and a 22 year old son who is at university. Top of my wish list is to travel to Freiburg, Germany - or near the Black Forest. I have a car available for use during your stay here.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are situated on the edge of Guildford - a large, ancient town with very good shopping, arts and sports facilities. My home overlooks the local golf course which is on public land, so provides superb countryside for walking/hiking/cycling. We are on the edge of the Surrey Hills - an area of outstanding natural beauty. Guildford town centre is about 2 miles, and there is a good bus service nearby. The train station is on the main route from London to Portsmouth, and trains to London take 35 minutes. The house is in a very quiet , small road - a peaceful setting - with easy access to all local facilities.
