Our home

A gorgeous, welcoming family home. Brilliant entertaining kitchen/diner - husband's a great cook so very well equipped. Lots of toys for little ones (boy and girl)! Playstation 2, Wii, dvd, video player. Real log fire. The garden is small but very pretty and private.

Property features

Who we are

  1. Paul and I (Ruth) are both in our late 30's, Paul is Head of Marketing for a Gardening catalogue company and I am a Childminder. We have two children, Toby who is 4 and Mimi who is 2. We also have 2 dogs, a whippet Henry and Chloe who is a Jack Russell. The dogs would go into kennels though unless you want to look after a mad whippet too on your holiday! You are more than welcome to bring your dog as we love them! We are looking to go anywhere on holiday in the Summer as well as to anywhere in the UK for half term/Winter holidays or weekend breaks if anyone fancies doing a swap. We've not done this before so a little nervous but do promise to take great care of your home.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Set in beautiful rural surroundings. Wethersfield is in a village with a post office/shop. Braintree is 7 miles, Stansted Airport 25 mins, Trains to London from Braintree 1 hour, Cambridge 40 mins. We are quite close to the Suffolk border as well with Sudbury being about 20 mins drive away and beautiful coastline at Aldeburgh and Southwold on the East coast. There is a lake a few miles away with waterskiing facilities, lots of lovely farmshops, medieval buildings, castles and windmills in the area!
