Our home

We have a lovely home, of which we are very proud and take time to maintain. We have a sitting room, dining room and large kitchen which opens out onto the deck area.
There are 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom is ensuite with kingsized bed the other 2 bedrooms have child beds (altho these could be changed for bunk beds). There is also a bed-setee in the dining room. Outside we have private gardens to front and rear with plenty of children's play equipment, along with a drive and garage.

Who we are

  1. We are a married couple in our late 30's with 3 small children (well behaved-I promise!!) Aged 4years, 2 years and 7 months.

I am a Portage Teacher and work for the Local Education Authority and my husband is an IT Consultant.
We thought we would grab the chance to travel now, whilst I am on maternity leave and before all the children are at school.

We prefer to travel during school holidays, however we can be flexible until September as my daughter is only 4, so does not have to attend school.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in a quiet suburb of Gloucester but within a few minutes walk or drive of the city centre, shops and restaurants and Gloucester Rugby Ground. Local shops and other amenities within 5 mins walk. Bus route almost right outside and train station only 2 miles away. Both Birmingham and Bristol airports are approx an hour drive away, giving easy access to Ireland, Scotland and Europe. Wales is approx a 45 min drive.
Gloucester is a Cathedral city (Harry Potters Hogwarts) with historic docks and canal ways for narrow boating.
There are numerous historic sites and castles within a short drive and we are a Royal County, with several members of the Royal family living close by.
The beautiful countryside of both the Cotswolds and The Forest of Dean is on the door step, with Cheltenham Spa (home of The Cheltenham Racecourse and famous Gold Cup)just 7 miles away. Ideally situated for visiting Bath, Stratford and Oxford(each approx an hour away).
