Our home

Our home is a Victorian property that has been completely modernised without losing its charm. There is a large conservatory with a view of our long garden where we spend all our time in the summer. It has two spacious bedrooms and one smaller one, the master bedroom is on the third floor with its own en suite shower and toilet. We enjoy gardening and our fruit and vegetables will be yours, in exchange for a little watering if it is very dry!

Who we are

  1. We are Shelagh and Jim, teachers of Spanish and French in our fifties. Our children are grown up and have moved on now, both to London. We have completed one successful exchange so far, and hope to repeat the experience in the future

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our street is very quiet with houses on one side only, we are 1/2 hour away from the beautiful historic city of Bath and there is a rail link to London (2 hours by car). The surrounding Somerset countryside is delightful and there are nearby attractions such as Longleat Safari park and Stourhead National Trust gardens. Within easy reach also are Stonehenge, Avebury and Salisbury. We are able to give much more information about the attractions of our area which is rural England at its best and will particularly suit walkers, bikers and lovers of the countryside.
