Our home

Our family home is three years old and situated on the South edge of Edinburgh. We are right on the edge of beautiful Scottish countryside, with great walking and cycling trails into the Pentland hills from our doorstep. After a five minute walk, we can take one 20 minute bus to the centre of our historic city with fantastic tourism, culture and nightlife options. We are also well situated to explore further afield, with excellent access to the main roads leading to the West of Scotland and the Highlands.

Who we are

  1. We're a family of five. Paul and Julia are the adults, Joel is 15, Mia is 12 and Daniel is 6. We love the outdoors, music, most sports and travelling. We love living in Edinburgh and being able to combine the best that a modern city has to offer with easy access to beautiful Scottish countryside. We also love travelling and experiencing new places and cultures.

  2. Paul is a Depute Head Teacher in a secondary school and Julia is a Veterinary Surgeon, working for an agricultural college. Joel attends a local secondary school and Mia is looking forward to moving from primary to secondary school after the summer. Daniel is completing his first year in primary school.

  3. We have lots of outdoor sports equipment, from bikes to climbing gear, boogie boards and wetsuits. We love music and have a piano and a couple of guitars - you are more than welcome to use them! Julia has created a lovely back garden, ideal for BBQs and relaxing in a peaceful neighbourhood. We have a lovely family home, with beds for 8 and a sofa bed that can sleep up to 2 more people.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in a lovely, quiet area on the southern edge of Edinburgh, a short walk into beautiful countryside with views into Fife and beyond. A short bus ride into the city centre allows us to combine the best of both worlds - a leafy, green neighbourhood and easy access into a vibrant and historic European city centre. There are restaurants, cafes and pubs within walking distance and a huge range in the city. Edinburgh offers tourists almost anything you can ask of a city, from a world class Arts festival, sporting events, UNESCO World Heritage sites, beautiful coastline and more than 130 publicly accessible parks and green spaces - the most green space of any of the United Kingdom's top 10 populated cities.
