Who we are

  1. We are Lauren and Rory a professional couple (accountant and teacher) and enjoy travelling when able to get away. We have travelled extensively and did our first exchange over New Year 2013/14 in Sydney, Australia. We would hope to arrange an exchange as soon as possible in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in the Scotland. We are excited to share our home to enable fellow travellers to enjoy the sights of Edinburgh. We are proud of our home and would treat an exchangers home as if it were our own.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our apartment is in Edinburgh city centre within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. We are a 15 minute walk to the train station and 10 miles to Edinburgh international airport. There is something for everyone in Edinburgh, from historical attractions such as the palace and Edinburgh castle to outdoor activities such as walking up Arthur's seat and playing championship golf courses. We would also recommend visiting the zoo, theatre and trying a dram of whiskey!
Hogmanay is one of the best times of year to visit the city, as there is a street party which over looks the castle with live music and fireworks to welcome in the new year!
Or alternatively we could arrange a non simultaneous swap for the world famous Edinburgh festival during the month of August, which includes the Military Tatoo, arts and books festival as well as the fringe. Over 300 venues across the city turn into comedy hotspots hosting world renowned comedians. Edinburgh is a buzzing city during August.
